 Level Green - sound design for VW In spring 2009 the exhibition "Level Green" opened the gates for the visitors of the Autostadt in Wolfsburg. In an interactive exhibition the visitor can learn more about the subject of lastingness in context to the company VW. The themes are for example climate change, ecological footprint or fuels of the future. For the exhibition multiple big touch screens are used, for which idee und klang realized the idea of a smart sound design with haptic feedback by using special speakers that are directly connected to the touch sensitive surface. By using this technique the visitor is able to feel the action of moving or touching an object on the screen. Another highlight are the so-called sonifications. Climate data like species extinction or CO2 output are translated into a sound design and music so the visitor is able to hear and understand changes in the animation.
