PS-1 Panning Server
The PS-1 Panning Server enables one to move 64 sound sources over 64 independend speakers. The speaker possition can be chosen freely. As panning techniques one can use dbap, vbap or ambisonics. For every single channel the system will render realistic reflections and reverb in realtime. Beside the classical midi protocol the server also understands OSC, a communication protocol that enables multiple possibilities in communicating with most of the media controll software. The area of applications for this system lays in 5.1 cinema mixing as well as in complex speaker configurations for media exhibitions for museums or company presentations. |
