Radio SRF 3 - 2005 / 08

Sound Layout

Between 2005 and 2008 Idee und Klang created multiple generations of sound layouts for Swiss radio station DRS 3 (today: SRF 3). The jingles' aesthetic is not so much about sound design but rather tonal quality, resulting in minimal compositions that respond to the broad age group of the station's audience. Various characteristic singing voices belonging to people such as Marc Sway, Heidi Happy, Christian Zehnder, Emel, Seven, Marc Storace, Sina, and William White were recorded.

Furthermore, Idee und Klang Audio Design created the sound branding for various programs such as 'Input', 'Focus', 'Sounds', 'Wirtschaftsmagazin' or 'SRF 3 macht es Büro uf', as well as sound elements for sports, weather and traffic report services.

In the course of the fusion of national Swiss television and Swiss radio and involving a change of name (SRF 3) in 2012, Idee und Klang Audio Design redesigned all existing audio signets in accordance with the new brand. Additionally, new audio signets for both the news program (including Info 3) and new hour openers were composed. Last but not least, in collaboration with Klanggestalter GmbH, Idee und Klang Audio Design have developed station-spanning news and sports IDs which have been integrated in all of SRF’s radio broadcasts.
